Meet Tori! Tori has been training all summer to pass her running Army PT Tests and has been training diligently. After several attempts to pass, Tori knew coaching was going to be the best way to guarantee the times she needs, allowing her to continue to train to serve for the Army!
My 2016 running goals are to improve my 2 mile run time for the Army Physical Fitness Test.
The biggest struggle I face in running is the mental aspect and staying tough enough to finish my runs without panicking, I’m a huge worry wart. Through training I am motivating by the desire to succeed and proving myself wrong, doing well enough to keep my ROTC scholarship in order to complete my nursing degree, and the opportunity to serve the United States of America as a future officer in the Army.
I would love to tell a beginner runner or someone slower than me that believing in yourself and staying positive does a lot more than you actually think! If you say you can, you will! (Maybe I should take my own advice)!
Wishing Tori the best of luck as she focuses on her upcoming PT tests and I look forward to posting her good news when she passes and continues her running journey!
